My Story

Hi, I’m Jamie Varon and for years, I thought I had a follow-through problem. Or a laziness problem. Or a self-sabotage problem. It felt like I was starting from scratch every single year. 

I wanted to write books.

Build a business.

Create financial freedom.

Get healthy and lose weight. 

Change my life.

But I kept repeating the same cycle: Get excited. Lose momentum. Start over.

I thought I needed more motivation or more force. Like if only I could punish myself into submission, then I would finally do all the things I laid awake at night mad at myself I didn’t do. 

But being hard on myself didn’t work. Every time I started a new thing through force or punishment, I’d quickly abandon it. Then I’d be angry with myself. 

It was a vicious cycle. 

How did I break that cycle?

At the start of 2017, I decided that I wanted to feel good in my life AND change the things I wanted to change. But how?

Inadvertently, I built an entire framework not just on how to change, but why change is so difficult in the first place. 

A system that helped me rebuild trust in myself one action at a time.

Since creating that system, I’ve used it to:

  • Write and publish multiple books, including Main Character Energy (HarperCollins) and Radically Content (Quarto)

  • Start my own publishing imprint (Evolved State Press)

  • Lose 100 pounds and improve my health outlook drastically

  • Create multiple online courses

  • Launch businesses, like Chronically Offline Co.

  • Create opportunities that once felt impossible

  • Consistently follow through on ideas that would have previously remained dreams
